🎊Party in the Park🪅

Windsor Locks is holding this year’s Springfest at Veteran’s Memorial Park on Saturday. No mention of the popular Dunk-A-Local-Official tank on the flyer but I’ll start a petition for next year! Great food truck presence! I’ll see you there!

🌮Cinco De Mayo🇲🇽

Cinco de Mayo is next Monday! If you haven’t tried out Mazatlán on Route 75 in Windsor Locks in the old Friendly’s building, it’s about time! They regularly have entertainment that wanders the restaurant and plays while you eat. The food and atmosphere are great!

🎣Shad Derby🐟

The Windsor Historical Society is screening a new documentary about the Shad Derby this Thursday at 6:30. Tickets can be purchased at the link below. I haven’t been to The Birdcage but I would like to check it out!

There are Shad Derby related events from March to May every year. Here is the 2025 schedule!

Another terrible AI image. But, we WILL clean buckets of dirt from your fridge if we need to.

Refrigerator Coil Dusting
Your refrigerator runs 24/7, but dirty condenser coils force it to work harder than necessary — wasting energy and shortening its lifespan. Dust, pet hair, and debris build up on the coils (usually located behind or underneath), trapping heat and making the compressor run longer to stay cold. Cleaning your coils just once a year can improve your refrigerator’s efficiency by up to 30%, saving roughly $5–$10 a month on your electric bill.
To clean it yourself, start by unplugging the fridge and pulling it away from the wall. Use a coil cleaning brush or a vacuum with a narrow nozzle to gently remove dust from the coils. Check both the backside and underneath if your model has bottom coils. While you're at it, wipe down the floor beneath the fridge — dust bunnies love to hide there too.
A clean fridge cools faster, runs quieter, and uses far less energy — especially during warm spring and summer months in New England.
At Simply Pure Home Cleaners, we’re offering complimentary refrigerator coil dusting upgrades with any deep clean booking this month!
