One of the best parts of summer is easy access to fresh local produce. You can’t get more fresh or more local than picking yourself! Here’s a list of nearby farms that offer pick your own fruits, vegetables, and flowers!
Brown’s Harvest – Windsor, CT
Located at 1911 Poquonock Ave., Brown’s Harvest offers pick-your-own strawberries in early June, blueberries in July, and a vibrant flower field featuring zinnias, cosmos, and sunflowers from July through August. It's a family-friendly spot with a farm stand and seasonal events.

Starvish Farm – East Windsor, CT
Situated at 36 North Water Street, Starvish Farm specializes in pick-your-own strawberries, typically available from late May through early July. They provide trays for picking, and it's a cash-only operation.

Enfield: Home values have risen by 4.0%, bringing the average to $322,351.

Simsbury: With a 4.3% increase, the average home value is now $514,279.
Granby: Home values have climbed by 4.9%, reaching an average of $463,231.

🚉Windsor Locks Downtown Update🏢

There is an informational meeting about the continued progress in Windsor Locks downtown this Thursday at 6pm in Windsor Locks town hall. Rumor has it they are looking to extend the sidewalk on the canal side of Main Street from the new train station all the way to the old station. Things are progressing on the Enfield station too. There is a link in the website below to download the latest plan.

Windsor Locks and Suffield have entered a reciprocal agreement on the use of facilities. Windsor Locks residents have free use of Sunrise Park and Babb’s Beach and Suffield residents have free use of Windsor Locks town pools. The agreement will be reviewed every year so take advantage of it while you can!
